So I made it through my first day of school with students....I am still sitting at my desk, well beyond the end of the day. I came in early and am leaving late - take note! This is a rarity! :)
What a crew I have....many needs and many things to love. It will be a challenging and rewarding year.
So yesterday, my nephew (Joshie) said something adorable, and Ali asked if it was blogworthy - I said, "Yes"! Here is what transpired......
We were all together at Grandma and Grandpa's to celebrate Jess and Ali's birthdays - all 14 of us (7 kids). Many had gone up to the park to play and the boys snuck around like spies on their way back to the house. the adults and Ali were sitting on the back deck, and Joshie approached my brothers. He said, "We (the boys), need you guys to come out and join us (for ball in the front yard)". My brother said, "Oh yah? We don't want you to ambush us!" To which Joshie replied, "We aren't going in any bushes!" (insert drum and cymbal hit - dah dum-dum) Classic!
I love kids! They help me to keep it all in perspective.....thank You, Lord! Now I must make my way home. I am pretty sure that by the time I make it there, I WILL CRASH and not want to get up! :)
Happy first day of school, and congrats for getting through it! I was at school from like 7:15 to 4:45. Still probably not as long as you were. :] I still laugh at what Josh said. He's hilarious when he's not mean to me. :P
